Subject: Construction of a Fence - 117 to 127 Davenport Road
(Midtown)
Purpose:
To report on a request to construct a 1 m high wrought iron fence within the public right of way fronting 117 to 127
Davenport Road.
Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
There are no financial implications resulting from the adoption of this report.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that City Council approve the construction of a 1 m high wrought iron fence within the public right of
way fronting 117 to 127 Davenport Road, subject to the owners entering into an agreement with the City of Toronto, as
prescribed under Chapter 313 of the former City of Toronto Municipal Code.
Background:
Bernard Morton of Councillor Adams' office, in his communication of December 20, 1999, requested us to report to the
Toronto Community Council on the application for a fence at 117 to 127 Davenport Road.
Comments:
Mr.Tony Da Silva of Brydmoss Development Corporation, 275 King Street East, Suite 225, Toronto, Ontario M5A 1K3,
Project Manager for 117 to 127 Davenport Road, has requested permission to construct a 1 m high wrought iron fence
within the public right of way fronting the above premises.
Staff have inspected the area in the vicinity of this property and have determined that the wrought iron fence would not
impact negatively on the right of way.
Conclusions:
As the proposed construction of the wrought iron fence is in conformity with Chapter 313 of the former City of Toronto
Municipal Code, the fence should be approved.
