Subject: Installation and Maintenance of Traffic Signs on Arterial Roads and Expressways within the City of Toronto for
the Period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2002, Contract No. T-95-99, Tender Call No. 282-1999

Purpose:
The purpose of this report is to advise the results of the Tenders issued for installation and maintenance of traffic signs on
arterial roads and expressways for the period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2002 and to request authority to issue a contract to
the recommended bidder.
Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
Funds are available in Works and Emergency Services, Transportation Services Division's annual current budget for each
year of the contract.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that:
(1) Contract No. T-95-99, Tender Call No. 282-1999, for installation and maintenance of traffic signs on arterial roads and
expressways within the City of Toronto for the period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2002, be awarded to Mark-All Services
Inc., in the amount of $1, 201,914.95, including all taxes and charges, being the lowest Tender received; and
(2) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
Background:
The Bid Committee, at its meeting held on December 15, 1999, opened the following Tenders for Contract No. T-95-99,
Tender Call No. 282-1999, for installation and maintenance of traffic signs on arterial roads and expressways within the
City of Toronto for the period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2002:

Mark-All Services Inc. $1,201,914.95
Stacey Electric Co. Ltd. $1,367,755.10
Guild Electric Ltd. $2,800,925.48
Comments:
The Tender documentation submitted by the recommended bidder has been reviewed by the Commissioner of Works and
Emergency Services and was found to be in conformance with the Tender requirements.
The Manager, Fair Wage and Labour Trades Office, has reported favourably on the firm recommended.
Conclusions:
This report requests authority to issue a contract for installation and maintenance of traffic signs on arterial roads and
expressways within the City of Toronto for the period April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2002, in accordance with specifications,
to Mark-All Services Inc., being the lowest Tender received.
