Community Council Action:
The Toronto Community Council:
(1) forwards the material received by the City Clerk, Toronto Community Council respecting this matter to the Works
Committee, the Strategic Plan Working Group and the Official Plan Reference Group;
(2) advises the Commissioner of Works and Emergency Services of the Toronto Community Council's concern with
respect to pedestrian fatalities; and
(3) forwards the material to the Commissioner of Community and Neighbourhood Services for ther consideration in the
implementation of the recommendations of the Seniors Task Force with respect to pedestrian safey:
- (September 21, 1999) from Ms. Joan Doiron and Ms. Rhona Swarbrick , Co-Chairs, Toronto Pedestrian Committee;
- (October 22, 1999) from the City Clerk, Toronto Pedestrian Committee;
- (November 7, 1999) from Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Co-Chair, Toronto Pedestrian Committee; and
- (November 9, 1999) from Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Co-Chair, Toronto Pedestrian Committee.
Background:
The Toronto Community Council, on November 9, 1999, had before it a communication (September 23, 1999) from Ms.
Joan Doiron and Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Co-Chairs, Toronto Pedestrian Committee respecting Pedestrian Issues.
The Toronto Community Council also had before it the following report/communications:
- (October 22, 1999) from the City Clerk, Toronto Pedestrian Committee;
- (November 7, 1999) from Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Co-Chair, Toronto Pedestrian Committee; and
- (November 9, 1999) from Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Co-Chair, Toronto Pedestrian Committee.
Ms. Rhona Swarbrick, Toronto Pedestrian Committee, appeared before the Toronto Community Council in connection
with the foregoing matter.
The Toronto Community Council's action are noted above.
