		December 7, 1999-12-23 To: Chairman of the Toronto Works Committee Re: Twice Weekly Garbage Pickup Let me voice our family's strong opposition to twice a week garbage pickup. I concur with the survey mentioned in the December 5 Etobicoke Guardian that it is not needed and not wanted. In fact I suggest the Works Committee should seriously consider biweekly pickup. Increasing the frequency of pickup: (i) is costly; (ii) will create even more garbage; and (iii) will hinder efforts made to date to encourage households to recycle and compost.
