Subject: Appointments to the Toronto Pedestrian Committee
Recommendation:
The Toronto Pedestrian Committee recommends to the Works Committee, as follows:
(1) the following persons be appointed to the Toronto Pedestrian Committee for a term to expire
on November 30, 2000, or until their successors are appointed:
Mr. Bryan Bowen, Toronto;
Ms. Peg Lush, Toronto;
Ms. Sophia Rosalind McKenna, Toronto;
Mr. Dave Meslin, North York;
Mr. J. Richard Nelson, East York; and
Ms. Dawn Williams, East York; and
(2) in the event that a vacancy occurs on the Toronto Pedestrian Committee during the current
term, that the following candidates be considered for appointment to fill such vacancy for the
remainder of the term:
Mr. William Brown, Toronto;
Mr. Jim Anderson, Toronto; and
Ms. Gudran Hodnett, Toronto;
(3) that correspondence be forwarded to Trustee Clune thanking him for his contribution to this
Committee; and
(4) that the communication (December 9, 1999) from Trustee Donald Clune, be received; and
(5) that the Toronto Catholic District School Board be requested to appoint a new member to
the Toronto Pedestrian Committee to replace Trustee Donald Clune;
Background:
The Toronto Pedestrian Committee had before it a report dated January 21, 2000 from the City Clerk respecting
citizen appointments to the Toronto Pedestrian Committee.
The Toronto Pedestrian Committee also had before it a communication from Trustee Donald Clune (December 9,
1999) respecting his resignation from the Committee.

Subject: Citizen Appointments to The Toronto Pedestrian Committee.
Recommendation:
The Nominating Sub-Committee of the Toronto Pedestrian Committee at its meeting held on
January 20, 2000, recommended that:
(1) the following persons be appointed to the Toronto Pedestrian Committee for a term
to expire on November 30, 2000, or until their successors are appointed:
Mr. Bryan Bowen, Toronto;
Ms. Peg Lush, Toronto;
Ms. Sophia Rosalind McKenna, Toronto;
Mr. Dave Meslin, North York;
Mr. J. Richard Nelson, East York; and
Ms. Dawn Williams, East York; and
(6) in the event that a vacancy occurs on the Toronto Pedestrian Committee during the
current term, that the following candidates be considered for appointment to fill such
vacancy for the remainder of the term:

Background:
The Nominating Sub-Committee of the Toronto Pedestrian Committee had before it a confidential
report (January 6, 2000) from the City Clerk forwarding applications from members of the public
respecting membership on the Toronto Pedestrian Committee.
