AMENDMENT TO THE POLLING POLICY FOR
TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
Councillor R. Davis
(February 3, 2000)
Yesterday, the issue of traffic calming on various streets was referred back to York Community Council for consideration.
Please be advised that I will be proposing a motion at the February 15, 2000 Community Council Meeting to amend our
policy requesting traffic calming measures on streets which bound school sites in York Community Council Area.
The motion will enable parents to request traffic calming measures by petition or by letter from the Parent School Council
Upon approval of the request Traffic Operations staff will recommend appropriate placement of speed humps.
