Minor Variance Appeals Regarding
41 Douglas Crescent and 125 Donlea Drive
The East York Community Council recommends that the following report (December 6, 1999) from the Director of
Community Planning, East District, be received:
Purpose:
The purpose of this report is to seek direction from Council regarding appeals of the Committee of Adjustment decisions
described below. This report is for the consideration of the East York Community Council at its meeting of January 18,
2000.
Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
There are no financial implications for the City of Toronto in this report.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that this report be received for information.

1. Variance Application A113/99EY
Mr. Giorgio Lolos
41 Douglas Crescent
The applicant is proposing to construct a new two-storey detached house at 41 Douglas Crescent, and applied to the
Committee of Adjustment for variances to the front yard setback requirement, the maximum lot coverage regulation, and
the maximum floor space index regulation. On October 19, 1999, the Committee of Adjustment refused the application,
and the applicant appealed the decision to the Ontario Municipal Board.
Staff did not take a position on this application, and do not recommend that Council direct staff to attend the Ontario
Municipal Board hearing.
2. Variance Application A123/99EY
Therese Kelly-Loo
125 Donlea Drive
The applicant is constructing a new two-storey detached dwelling, and applied to the Committee of Adjustment for a
variance to the maximum building height regulation. On October 19, 1999, the Committee of Adjustment refused the
application, and the applicant appealed the decision to the Ontario Municipal Board.
Staff did not take a position on this application, and do not recommend that Council direct staff to attend the Ontario
Municipal Board hearing.
