                                       BY-LAW No. 238-1999

               To amend By-law No. 673-1998, a by-law  To Prohibit Excessive Idling
                                     of Vehicles and Boats .

        WHEREAS  By-law  No. 673-1998,  a by-law   To Prohibit  Excessive  Idling of  Vehicles and
Boats ,  was enacted by  the Council  of the City  of Toronto at its  meeting of October  1 and 2,
1998; and

        WHEREAS By-law No. 673-1998 contains a typographical error;

        The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

        1.      Subsection 2(2) of By-law No. 673-1998, a by-law  To Prohibit Excessive Idling  of
Vehicles and Boats ,  is amended by deleting  the words  Subsection A does  not apply to:  at  the
beginning  of the  subsection and replacing  them with  the words   Subsection (1)  does not apply
to: .

        ENACTED AND PASSED this 12th day of May, A.D. 1999.
