Minutes of the East York Community Council
Tuesday, January 6, 1998
The East York Community Council met on Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in the Council Chamber,
Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto, to elect the Chair of the Community Council for a
term of 18 months or until his/her successor is elected or appointed.
The meeting commenced at 3:48 p.m.
Members Present:
Councillor Michael Prue, Chair
Councillor Case Ootes
Mayor Mel Lastman, ex officio
1. Election of Chair of East York Community Council.
The Mayor called for nominations for the office of Chair of the East York Community
Council for a term of 18 months or until his/her successor is elected or appointed.
Councillor Ootes moved that Councillor Prue be nominated as Chair
of the East York Community Council.
There being no further nominations, Councillor Prue was duly
elected as Chair of the East York Community Council for a term of
18 months or until his successor is elected or appointed.
The East York Community Council adjourned its meeting at 3:50 p.m.
