Aircraft noise is best addressed to the management office of the airport where an aircraft is either landing or taking off.  

Transport Canada is the government department that has jurisdiction over airspace and the regulations about noise and flying heights. Please visit the Transport Canada website for more information.

Pearson International Airport:

  • Within 10 nautical miles (18.5 km radius) of Pearson International Airport
    Contact the Greater Toronto Airports Authority's Noise Management Office. Noise complaints can be registered by telephone or online at the Toronto Pearson website.
    Note: the Canadian International Air Show is within 10 nautical miles of Pearson. Only contact the GTAA if the complaint is about noise from planes taking off or landing at the airport. If the noise complaint is about the air show itself, the Canadian International Air Show complies with all regulations, including those published by Transport Canada relating to noise.
  • Greater than 10 nautical miles (18.5 km radius) from Toronto Pearson International Airport
    Contact Transport Canada with complaints about aircraft noise or low flying aircraft. Information regarding the aircraft registration number will assist in the investigation.
  • Toronto City Centre Airport (Billy Bishop Airport) : noise complaints about aircraft at the Toronto City Centre Airport can be registered with the airport's Noise Management Office of the Ports Toronto by phone.
