The City of Toronto is creating a Local Supplier Directory to help strengthen local supply chains and advance the Mayor’s Economic Action Plan in Response to US Tariffs.
The City is committed to using its purchasing power to support local and Canadian businesses. The City procures about $3 billion in goods and services each year, with over 95 per cent from Canadian suppliers, including 90 per cent from Ontario.
Information provided through the Local Supplier Directory may be used by City divisions to identify potential suppliers for relevant procurement opportunities, including potential subcontracting opportunities. The information may also be shared with the City’s Agencies and Corporations, and with other municipalities for procurement-related purposes.
