To slow the spread of COVID-19, all City-led and City-permitted major festivals and events are cancelled through December 31. This includes festivals and other large in-person gatherings held at outdoor sites managed by the City or other public locations, such as roads, parks and civic squares.

Annually the City of Toronto hosts thousands of events that contribute to the vitality of our city.  From local block parties to international championships that engage communities and bring visitors to Toronto, all events are unique.

The key to a successful event is preparation! To assist those planning events on public property, these pages list resources, tips and tools, event-related permit and service information, and links to sites and venues.

Event organizers are encouraged to contact the relevant permitting bodies at the City or Toronto Police Service officers/liaisons they have been working with. Alternatively, event organizers can contact the City at eventpal@toronto.ca.
