To slow the spread of COVID-19, all City-led and City-permitted major festivals and events with attendance of more than 250 people through July 31, and those with attendance of 25,000 or more through August 31 are cancelled. This includes festivals, conferences and cultural programs held in facilities managed by City divisions or public locations, such as roads, parks and civic squares.

Annually the City of Toronto hosts thousands of events that contribute to the vitality of our city.  From local block parties to international championships that engage communities and bring visitors to Toronto, all events are unique.

The key to a successful event is preparation! To assist those planning events on public property, these pages list resources, tips and tools, event-related permit and service information, and links to sites and venues.

Event organizers are encouraged to contact the relevant permitting bodies at the City or Toronto Police Service officers/liaisons they have been working with. Alternatively, event organizers can contact the City at eventpal@toronto.ca.
