Help Toronto vote! Register now to create your account in the Election Jobs Registration Portal and apply to work as an election official for Toronto’s October 26, 2026 municipal election.

 

Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up your account.

  1. Go to the Election Jobs Registration Portal link

    • Select Register Now (blue button) this link will take you to the Terms of Use page.
  2. Accept the Terms of Use

    • Read the Notice of Collection and User Agreement.
    • Check the box that says: I have read and agree to the Terms of Use.
    • Click Proceed to go to the login page.
  3. Create your account / click create an account

    • Answer the three eligibility questions.
      • If you are applying for Student Connect, for the second question regarding your age, select No whether or not you will be 18 years or older on or before election day.
      • If you are applying for Student Connect, for the fourth question “are you currently a high school student in Toronto participating as part of the Student Connect program?” ensure that you click Yes.
    • Enter your email address twice (both entries must match).
    • Check the declaration box to certify your information is accurate.
    • Click Submit Request.
      • You will then see a screen that says, “please check your email for instructions to complete the creation of your account”. IMPORTANT: check your email and junk folders immediately as the temporary password will expire in 24 hours.
  4. Check your email

    • You will receive an email with your temporary password.
  5. Log in and update your password

    • Go back to the login page in the Election Jobs Registration Portal (there will be a link in the email) and read the Notice of Collection and User Agreement. Click the box that says “I have read and agree to the Terms of Use” and click Proceed.
    • Enter your email and the temporary password provided and click Login. It is best to copy and paste the temporary password as it must be the same as the one provided.
    • Set your new password (passwords provided in your documents) and click Update Password.
    • Important: reset your password within 24 hours of receiving the email, or you will need to start again.
    • Once you have created your account, do not apply for a position. 
  6. Complete your profile

    • Fill in your Employment Information:
      • If you are applying for Student Connect: select Student Connect, the school board and school that you attend.
      • Click Next to proceed.
    • Add your Contact Information.
      • Click Next to proceed.
    • Provide Additional Information as required.
      • Click Next to proceed.
    • Important: In the accommodation section, you can indicate whether you require an accommodation based on the Human Rights Code. Read the statement carefully and select Yes or No as required. If Yes is selected, enter the details in the text box that appears. Do not include diagnosis or medical information.
      • Once this section is completed, click Next to proceed.
    • Review the information you have entered. You may edit sections if necessary. Once the information is verified, click Submit to complete the process.
  7. Congratulations – you have completed the account creation process!

    • You will see on screen that your profile has been successfully created.
    • Click Continue to proceed to your Employment Dashboard.
