Ledbury Park Building and Pool are currently closed to the public while the facility undergoes improvements.

The City is improving the building in Ledbury Park as part of a state-of-good-repair program to upgrade the facility’s roof and exterior, mechanical and refrigeration systems, and improve accessibility.

  • August 2021: Detailed design
  • January 2022: Hiring a construction team
  • March 2022: Construction starts
  • December 2022: Construction complete

Building and Pool Closure

Construction is underway on the building’s roof and exterior. As a result of this work, the building and pool are closed to the public.

Due to work stoppage, unforeseen site conditions and ongoing supply chain issues, construction will not be complete in time for the 2022 pool season. Ledbury’s leisure swims have been added to Lawrence Height’s programming schedule. The pool will reopen for the 2023 season.

The building in Ledbury Park houses the pool change rooms, public washrooms, pavilion, as well as mechanical and refrigeration systems to support the park’s artificial ice rink and outdoor pool.

The building is undergoing improvements to:

  • upgrade the public washrooms and pool change rooms
  • upgrade the mechanical, HVAC, electrical and refrigeration systems
  • upgrade the roof and the building’s exterior
  • add a universal washroom and elevator

Due to the impact this work will have on the building, the pool change rooms and the adjacent pool area, the entire facility and pool will be closed for the duration of the project.
