The City of Toronto is making improvements at Liberty Village Park!

Project Timeline

  • Fall 2019 to Winter 2020: Design development phase
  • Spring 2020: Construction Procurement phase
  • Summer to Fall 2020: Construction phase

This timeline is subject to change.

Based on community consultation, a need has been identified for improvements to be made at Liberty Village Park, primarily to enhance the play amenities that currently exist at the park.

The scope of improvements for the park includes:

  • Playground expansion
  • Splash Pad
  • Seating
  • Pathways
  • Landscaping

Concept design options will be presented and discussed at the public open house on December 12, 2019. Feedback from this meeting will then be incorporated into the development of the final detailed design. Construction is anticipated to be completed in summer/fall 2020.

Current Project Status

September – December 2019

A design team led by landscape architectural consulting firm Cosburn Nauboris was hired and is developing concept design options for the park.
