About the Project

Port Union Village Common Park is a 4.2-hectare park near Port Union Road and Lawrence Avenue East. The linear park is bounded by the CN railway to the south that features a children’s playground and paths accessing the surrounding neighbourhoods and the Lake Ontario waterfront.

Based on feedback received from the local community, the City is replacing the ageing and underutilized rubber concrete mounds located beside the playground within the park with new outdoor fitness equipment for adults. The fitness circuit will include:

  • Double push-up bars
  • Double pull-up bars
  • A long bench
  • A dip station
  • 3 information panels with fitness program options
