Thomson Memorial Park is a 41.8-hectare park located at 1005 Brimley Rd. in Scarborough. The park follows the West Highland Creek and has many paths through the large wooded ravine that let visitors experience nature in the city. The park features a ball diamond, multipurpose sports field, three tennis courts, outdoor fitness equipment, children’s playground, wading pool and a dogs off-leash area.

The existing playground within the park will be enhanced with the following improvements:

  • Accessible pathway
  • Accessible play surfacing
  • New playground equipment for ages two to 14 years
  • Additional accessible seating area with benches
  • New plantings

The project is in the conceptual design phase which will be developed through consultation with the community.
