A new 4,000 m2 park – approximately the size of a junior soccer field – is coming to the area south of David Mary Thompson Collegiate Institute, adjacent to the Midland Lawrence Plaza. The park design will be shaped through community engagement.

- Winter 2026: Hire a design team
- Spring 2027: Community Engagement Phase 2 and design development
- Summer 2027: Detailed design
- Winter 2027: Hire a construction team
- Spring 2028: Construction starts
- Fall 2028: Construction complete, park opens
