During construction, the ice rink, change room building and basketball courts will be closed to the public.
The City is improving the artificial ice rink at Ramsden Park with state-of-good-repair upgrades to the building’s change rooms and washrooms, as well as repairs to the rink’s refrigeration systems and dasher boards.
Project Timeline
- Spring to Fall 2024: Design development
- Winter 2024: Detailed design
- Winter 2025: Hire a construction team
- Spring 2025: Construction starts, no public access to the ice rink, change room building and basketball courts
- Winter 2026: Construction complete, ice rink and change room building open
