To date in 2025, City-led and supported projects account for 77% of all housing starts in Toronto, including 1,598 affordable homes.
Toronto is in a housing crisis, and the City is taking action by expanding laneway and mid-rise housing, preventing renovictions, supporting tenants, and enabling partners to deliver homes faster and more affordably. The City continues to advocate for additional provincial and federal support to help ensure everyone has a place to call home.
