Guided tours of City Hall are available for school groups in grade 5 and older. Students will explore the building’s unique features, discover City Hall’s history, and learn what your local government does, how it works, and how to get involved.

  • Tours are free and last approximately 90 minutes. All tours are held on weekdays. Tours typically begin at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., though other start times can sometimes be arranged.
  • The minimum school group size is 10 participants and the maximum is 30. Requests for larger groups, such as two classes from one school, will be considered when possible.
  • Tours must be booked in advance.
  • Depending on the date of the tour, your group may get to observe a City Council meeting in action, or you might visit the Council Chamber when it is empty, allowing you to learn more about the space and what happens there.
  • Please note that your tour booking may need to change due to Council activities or other unforeseen events at City Hall.
