Reporting Illegal Cannabis Storefronts

The sale and distribution of cannabis without a license issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is illegal and may result in penalties under provincial and/or federal law. If you suspect that an unlicensed cannabis storefront is operating in the community or you observe any unauthorized cannabis sales - including outside a licensed retail location - please report it by contacting the Toronto Police Service non-emergency line at 416-808-2222.

 

Illegal Cannabis Activities

The possession, production, distribution, and sale of cannabis outside of what the law allows remains illegal and subject to criminal penalties. If you suspect illegal cannabis activity including the selling of cannabis  in front of a cannabis store, please contact Toronto Police Services non-emergency line.

Complaints About Legal Cannabis Stores

If you have concerns regarding a legal cannabis store, your complaint should be directed to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

 

Separation Distances for Cannabis Retail Stores

Provincial regulations limit cannabis retail stores from operating within 150 metres of a public or private school (note: this does not include colleges or universities). There is no required separation distance between cannabis retail stores.
