Example of violations:

  • BBQs 
  • Prohibited to be in a park from 12:01 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Amplified sound
  • Vending
  • Camping and lodging, tents, structures
  • Golf
  • Model aircraft (i.e. drones) and rockets
  • Gliders and hot air balloons
  • Kites, where posted, prohibited
  • Washing, cleaning, repairing vehicles
  • Climb trees, and buildings.

Note: Some of the above-mentioned activities may take place if the appropriate park permit has been acquired.

Permitted with a permit:

  • Campfires, bonfires, bringing in BBQs
  • Being in a park after hours from 12:01 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Organized gatherings, including alcohol consumption
  • Filming, photography, videotaping, special events, social gatherings
  • Amplified sound
  • Camping and lodging tents, structures
  • Gliders and hot air balloons
  • Kites, provided all requirements are met
  • Personal or industrial generators

Downsview Park / Rogers Stadium / Rouge Park/beach 

Downsview Park, Rogers Stadium, Rouge Park/beach are not City Parks. Downsview Park/Rogers Stadium is Federal land and Rouge Park/beach falls under Parks Canada. City of Toronto Parks Enforcement does not have jurisdiction in these park, except in cases involving amplified noise. To report an amplified noise complaint at one of these locations, you can submit a service request online at: www.toronto.ca/311, or by calling 311.
