Notice: November 20, 2025 - Lighting at Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre

  • The pedestrian and parking lot lights on the south and east sides of the building have experienced multiple underground wiring breaks, causing them to trip automatically and preventing proper reset.
  • We are working on a permanent solution, which may take some time. In the meantime, temporary portable lighting is being sourced and is expected to be in place in the coming days.

To report a malfunctioning light in a City park, you can submit a service request online at https://www.toronto.ca/311, or call 311.

Report a malfunctioning light in a City park, such as lights that are not turning on, not turning off, flickering, burned-out lights, or pointing the wrong way. You can also report an issue with an automatic light timer associated with permits.

If the lighting issue is related to a permitted event or booking, please call 311 directly.

Most lights in parks are on automatic timers, which are set and adjusted by staff on a seasonal basis. We make every effort to make adjustments or repairs as quickly as possible. Some lighting repairs require specialized equipment and materials, which may result in a longer service time.
