Approximately 3,250 m2 (35,000 square feet) of concrete on the podium green roof has been transformed into living vegetation to reduce the building's environmental impact and for residents and visitors to enjoy all year round, .

The Toronto City Hall podium green roof, reopened as a public green roof garden at Doors Open Toronto on May 29, 2010, 11:00 am. New landscaped gardens, courtyards and walkways provide unique views from this urban oasis.

Hours: The Podium Green Roof is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm and on weekends & holidays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm during spring, summer and fall.  Once the City receives the first snowfall or there is ice, the roof is closed for the winter season for safety reasons.
