  1. Call 211 or 911 to access the Toronto Community Crisis Service –a new non-police, community-led service which provides mental health support for you or someone you know.  The service is free, confidential and provides follow-up care for those who want it.
    • The Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) is part of the City of Toronto’s commitment to treat mental health crises as a public health issue, not a public safety issue.  
      The TCCS is a community-based service that dispatches trained teams of crisis workers to respond to non-emergency calls from people in crisis and requests for wellbeing checks, using a client-centred, trauma-informed approach.

  3. Ontario Victim Services: Victims of crime and their families have access to a wide range of services, including counselling, financial assistance and other supports. 1-888-579-2888, or 416-314-2447 in the Greater Toronto Area
  4. Imani's Place:  A Safe Haven to end domestic violence and human trafficking against women. Imani’s place centers on the experiences of Black Women survivors who are subjected to systemic and domestic violence and are often less likely to be adequately supported. 1-800-507-6860
  5. Toronto Rape Crisis Centre: The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre has a 24 hour crisis phone line for survivors of rape and sexual assault. They will provide court support, accompaniment and advocacy. Face-to-face counselling is free and confidential. Lesbian support, abuse and relationship counselling available.
  6. Assaulted Women's Help Line: Services: (information and referrals to women in up to 154 languages) Callers do not have to give their names and the Help Line does not have call display.

  2. Kids Help Phone: The Kids Help Phone provides immediate support that young people need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Counsellors answer calls and online questions from across Canada. Community Crisis Clinics

    Hours: 24 hours / 7 days service at the General campus, 8:30 am - 11:00 pm at the Grace campus. 
    A multi-disciplinary team who provide effective and timely intervention to individuals who have urgent mental health needs staffs these programs. Located at both General and Grace Campus's Emergency Departments.
  • Outpatient assessment and intervention is available for individuals who do not require an immediate Emergency Department visit but who may need services within a 24-48 hour period. You may access this service by calling the Mobile Crisis Programs:
  • Distress Centres of Toronto: Callers' issues include problems related to domestic violence, social isolation, suicide, addictions, mental and physical health concerns. The Distress Centre offers, as appropriate: emotional support, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and linkage to emergency help when necessary.
