There are resources on the Toronto Fire Services website and The Ontario Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council website (http://www.firesafetycouncil.com/ ). These resources may help you to develop a Fire Safety Plan. You should sit down with your family and discuss what you would do in a fire. Draw a plan of your home and show two exits for each room. Discuss who will be responsible for people who need help to get out of the house (young children, older adults and people with disabilities) and plan for a meeting place when outside the home. When outside, call 911. Finally practice a fire drill.
