DonateTO – Donations to the City of Toronto

News Release: November 21, 2025 - City of Toronto launches 2025 Holiday Giving Campaign, inviting Torontonians to make a difference this season

There are many ways individuals, associations and businesses can partner with the City to support the community. Information and opportunities outlined on DonateTO include:

• The online portal for financial gifts in support of an array of City programs.
• The platform to offer donations of new and unused goods in support of the City’s coordinated COVID-19 recovery efforts.
• Insights into the ways to give, including online, by mail, legacy gifts and gifts of public art, as well as the related policies.
• Reports and stories summarizing the positive impact donors have made by donating to and through the City.

All donors who make a financial gift through the platform will receive a thank-you email within seconds of completing the transaction. Donors of $20 or more will also receive a tax receipt at the same time. The DonateTO online donation platform also allows donors to generate e-cards to share in honour or in memory of individuals connected to their gift.
