The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 26™ is officially on! As January 28 marks 500 days until the world’s biggest sporting event kicks off on Canadian soil, the City of Toronto will host an exciting soccer session at Regent Park Community Centre with Sharon Bollenbach, Executive Director, FIFA World Cup Hosting 2026 and a surprise Canada Soccer legend.
The former National Team player will join local youth participants from the City’s soccer program in fun drills and practice soccer skills. The event will also feature the presentation of a special commemorative scarf to each of the young athletes to mark this milestone in Toronto’s FIFA World Cup 26™ journey.
Date: Tuesday, January 28
Time: 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with interviews taking place between sessions.
Location: Regent Park Community Centre, 402 Shuter St.
Parking: The nearest paid parking is located at 563 Dundas St. E.
