Deputy Mayor Denzil Minnan-Wong (Ward 16 Don Valley East) and Nick Ametrano, Vice-President of MonsterMortgage.ca, will welcome walkers and runners of all ages and abilities taking part in the Toronto Challenge, presented by MonsterMortgage.ca, this Sunday.

Organized by the City of Toronto, the event will raise funds that will benefit residents in the City’s 10 long-term care homes and more than 40 community agencies that provide support to seniors and vulnerable people in Toronto.

Date: Sunday, June 9 (rain or shine)
Times:
8:45 a.m. Opening remarks, aerobic warmup, musical performance by the Deloraines
9:30 a.m. Race start
10:30 a.m. Awards presentation
Location: Nathan Phillips Square at Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Registration on race day takes place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the City Hall rotunda. Participants can choose from the MonsterMortgage.ca 5K run, the Medical Pharmacies 5K walk, or the CUPE Local 79 1K walk. More information is available at http://www.toronto.ca/challenge.
