Advance voting in the by-election for the office of Councillor Ward 25, Scarborough-Rouge Park will be available on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at two locations:
Eligible voters who wish to cast their ballot during advance voting can do so at either voting place.
Election day is Monday, September 29
On election day, 37 voting places will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eligible voters choosing to vote on election day must do so at their assigned voting place, which can be found on the MyVote webpage.

Eligible voters may only vote once regardless of how many properties they may own or rent in the ward.
What to take to the voting place
Eligible voters are encouraged to confirm their voting place ahead of time by visiting the MyVote webpage.
To receive a ballot at the voting place, a voter must present identification that shows their name and qualifying address in Ward 25 Scarborough-Rouge Park.
Voters are encouraged to bring their Voter Information Card with them to the voting place for a faster experience.
Voter Information Card
Voter Information Cards (VIC) were mailed to electors who were on the voters’ list before Thursday, September 4.
Eligible voters can also view, print or download a digital copy of their VIC to a mobile device by visiting the MyVote webpage.

Voters’ List
To add, check or update information on the voters’ list, eligible voters can call 311 or visit the MyVote webpage.
Voters must add their name to the list or update their name or address by 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 21 for their information to appear on the printed voters’ list used in voting places on election day.
If their name is not already on the voters’ list, an eligible voter with acceptable identification can add their name to the voters’ list when they go to vote in person during:
Mail-in Voting
Completed Mail-in Voting packages must be received by Toronto Elections by Tuesday, September 23 at noon. Packages can be mailed to Toronto Elections using the postage paid and pre-addressed envelope included in the Mail-in Voting package.
Packages can also be hand-delivered to one of two secure Mail-in Voting drop boxes between Monday, September 15 until noon on Tuesday, September 23 at the following locations:
Applicants can track the status of their Mail-in Voting package using the confirmation code they received by email after completing the online application. Mail-in Voting packages were sent starting Thursday, September 11.
If a significant Canada Post service disruption impacts the delivery of Mail-
in Voting packages, voters who applied to vote by mail will be provided with additional information about voting options.

Voting accessibility information
Information about accessible entry points, ramps, automatic door openers and the location of Voter Assist Terminals is available on the MyVote webpage.
A Voter Assist Terminal device allows voters with disabilities to mark their ballot privately and independently. It has a touch screen, an audio function, a braille keypad, a sip/puff tube device, a rocker paddle/foot switch, and zoom features to adjust font sizes and colour contrast.
Voter Assist Terminals will be available at both voting places during advance voting on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21.
If a voter requires the use of a Voter Assist Terminal on election day and one is not located at their assigned voting place, they can request to have their ballot transferred by calling 311 or the TTY line 711.
Voting proxy
Eligible voters who are unable to vote in person during advance voting or on election day may appoint someone they trust to vote on their behalf as a voting proxy. A voting proxy must be eligible to vote in a Toronto municipal election.
To receive a Voting Proxy Appointment Form, email Toronto Elections at VoterRegistration@toronto.ca or visit the Toronto Elections office during regular business hours from Monday to Friday.
