The City of Toronto is hosting a Christmas-tree-lighting ceremony at Scarborough Civic Centre on Friday, December 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will take place in Albert Campbell Square, 150 Borough Dr.

Deputy Mayor Michael Thompson (Ward 21 Scarborough Centre) will act as master of ceremonies for this free, family-friendly event. Features include:
• free photos with Santa (bring a camera)
• free cookies and hot chocolate (while quantities last)
• free ice skating and music

Everyone is encouraged to show their generous holiday spirit by donating an unwrapped toy for the Mayor’s Toy Drive or a non-perishable food item for the Daily Bread Food Bank.
