The City of Toronto officially opened the 2026 golf season this morning at Dentonia Park Golf Course, with Councillor Paula Fletcher (Toronto-Danforth), Chair of Infrastructure and Environment Committee.
All five of the City’s golf courses are open including Dentonia Park, Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods and Tam O’Shanter.
What’s new for 2026
Don Valley Golf Course is celebrating its 70th anniversary, with the City restoring the course’s original first-tee deck to commemorate the milestone. Clubhouse renovations at Tam O’Shanter and Dentonia Park golf courses have improved user experience and accessibility standards. Golfers can also enjoy a renovated patio at Scarlett Woods golf course.
Programming highlights for 2026
Each golf course offers a wide range of programs designed to welcome golfers of all ages, abilities and experience levels, as well as families and community groups. Highlights this season include:
Golf’s growing popularity amongst youth in Toronto
Golf continues to grow in popularity in Toronto with another consecutive record-breaking high of approximately 250,000 rounds of golf played in 2025. Junior memberships continue to increase with more than 15,000 rounds of golf played by Junior Members in 2025.
Locals are attracted to the City’s courses because of their affordability, quality and ease of access from transit. Each golf course has its own characteristics, ensuring a unique experience for golfers of all levels.
Reservations and accessibility
Tee times can be booked up to seven days in advance through the City’s website. Equipment rentals are available from the pro shop at each clubhouse. A complimentary accessible golf cart is available at Humber Valley for golfers with mobility needs which can be requested at time of booking.
Tee times are spaced at 10-minute intervals and adjust throughout the season as daylight hours increase.
