Tomorrow, Stephen Conforti, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer; Sonia Brar, Chief Technology Officer; and Beth Waldman, Chief Communications Officer (I), will hold a media briefing on the City of Toronto’s 2024 Vacant Home Tax Program. This media briefing will provide an update on proposed enhancements and changes to the Vacant Home Tax (VHT) program, designed to improve its effectiveness as the program works to help address the City’s housing challenges.  

The Redesigning the Vacant Home Tax Program and Supporting Housing Supply report will be considered by Executive Committee on Tuesday, October 1 and Toronto City Council during its October meeting.
