The City of Toronto has launched its 2025 Holiday Giving Campaign to mark the start of the winter season and share in the spirit of giving. The campaign, which runs through Tuesday, January 9, 2026, highlights opportunities for Torontonians to contribute to initiatives that support communities across the city.
The City facilitates donations through DonateTO, connecting residents directly with nonprofits, charities and community organizations that deliver vital programs and services. In most cases, contributions support partner organizations with the City acting primarily as a facilitator to help residents support causes that matter.
Each year, the City’s Holiday Giving Campaign highlights simple and impactful ways for residents, businesses and community organizations to make a difference in communities across Toronto. This year’s campaign launch coincides with National Housing Day on Saturday, November 22, offering opportunities throughout the holiday season to help people, pets and neighbourhoods.

Since 2015, more than $13.74 million in tax-receipted donations of $20 or more has been made through DonateTO, supporting a wide range of City initiatives and services across Toronto. These contributions demonstrate the continued generosity of Torontonians and their commitment to strengthening communities citywide.
