Tomorrow, the City of Toronto will host a ceremony to mark Indigenous Veterans Day. On Saturday, November 8, Mayor Olivia Chow joins all Canadians in paying tribute to the  service and sacrifices of First Nations, Inuit, Métis veterans who served during the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, Afghanistan, peacekeeping missions and who continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. 

Date: Saturday, November 8 
Time: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Spirit Garden and Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W. 

The ceremony will include traditional ways of remembrance, with a Sacred Fire led by Young Spiritual Elder Noodjmowin and a Sharing Circle to honour and learn about those who have served and continue to serve. 

Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Hon. Edith Dumont, will attend the ceremony.
