Toronto residents are invited to glide into 2026 at one of the City of Toronto’s annual New Year’s Skating Parties hosted by Mayor Olivia Chow and members of Toronto City Council, presented by Desjardins Financial Group.

The free, family-friendly celebration will take place simultaneously at four locations across the city on Sunday, January 4, offering an afternoon of skating, music, hot chocolate and fun activities.

Date: Sunday, January 4
Time: 1 to 5 p.m., with remarks from Mayor and sponsor Desjardins Financial Group at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square rink, 100 Queen St. W.

This year’s New Year’s Skating Party will also be held at the following locations, each from 1 to 5 p.m.:

  • McCowan District Park Skating Trail, 150 McCowan Rd.
  • North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, 200 Eglinton Ave. W.
  • Colonel Samuel Smith Park Skating Trail, 65 Colonel Sam Smith Park Dr.

All four sites will offer free skate rentals, hot chocolate, a DJ playing music and activities for all ages.
