Toronto Elections will hold a technical briefing on Friday, September 16 to inform media outlets how Toronto’s municipal election results will be provided on election night, Monday, October 24.

This briefing is for media outlet technical and/or production staff that plan to download and access election results on election night. Media representatives who attend the virtual briefing will have the opportunity to learn how election results will be made available on election night.

Date:  Friday, September 16

Time:  10 to 11 a.m.

A telephone conference bridge will be available for both the audio portion of the briefing and any questions or comments. Participants can call 416-915-6530 (toll free) and use conference ID 2452 695 0353 (password 97327643).

Note: this technical briefing is for planning purposes only. An in-person media availability will be held on September 22 – details to follow.

The City will not be able to provide technical support to media outlets downloading and accessing election results on election night. A testing session for media outlets will be held on Monday, October 3 from 8 to 9 p.m. Further details will be provided during the September 16 briefing and posted to the Toronto Elections webpage.
