The City of Toronto will host its fifth annual Toronto Newcomer Day tomorrow, with Mayor John Tory and City staff joining in activities to celebrate the contributions that newcomers make to this diverse city.

Date: Thursday, May 16
Times:
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: formal program including Mayor Tory proclaiming Newcomer Day during his remarks (at about 12:50 p.m.) along with other speakers and dance/musical performances on stage
11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: information fair and family-friendly activities
Location: Nathan Phillips Square and Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Toronto Newcomer Day is sponsored by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, StarMetroland Media, Tim Hortons, chatr, ROYALE, and New Canadians TV Show. Official event partners include AIR MILES, CELPIP and CAEL by Paragon Testing Enterprises, and Meridian. Everyone is welcome to take part in this free event.
