The City of Toronto will recognize first responders from the Toronto Police Service, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Paramedic Services and the TTC Transit Enforcement Unit for their dedication to duty in extenuating circumstances during the Yonge Street and Danforth tragedies in 2018. Mayor John Tory will welcome the first responders and present plaques.

Date: Tuesday, June 18
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Mayor Tory will present a specially designed recognition plaque to each of the following officials:
• Chief Mark Saunders, Toronto Police Service
• Chief Matthew Pegg, Toronto Fire Services
• Acting-Chief Gord McEachen, Toronto Paramedic Services
• Chief Special Constable Alan Cakebread, Toronto Transit Commission – Transit Enforcement Unit
