Following the Final Draw for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the full tournament match schedule is now available and published on FIFA's website – marking a major milestone on the road to the biggest FIFA World Cup™ in history. 

The FIFA World Cup 2026, to be staged across 16 Host Cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States, will be the first to feature 104 matches and will deliver an unparalleled experience for fans both in-stadium and around the world, qualified national teams and global media. 

The City of Toronto will welcome nations competing in six FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches at Toronto Stadium located at Exhibition Place, kicking off with a historic milestone as Canada plays its first men’s FIFA World Cup™ match on home soil, facing European Playoff A winner (Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina) on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET.

The tournament match schedule minimizes travel for both teams and fans while maximizing the number of rest days for teams between fixtures. In addition, match kick-off times have now been finalized, with start times across the 16 Host Cities selected to optimize conditions for teams and fans, while offering the greatest possible viewership and engagement in the countries of the participating teams, host countries and globally. 

Toronto’s FIFA World Cup 2026™ match schedule 

Group stage matches: 

  • Match 3 – Friday, June 12, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET – Canada vs. European Playoff A winner (Bosnia and Herzegovina/Italy/Northern Ireland/Wales) 
  • Match 21 – Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET – Ghana vs. Panama 
  • Match 33 – Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 4 p.m. ET – Germany vs. Côte d’Ivoire 
  • Match 46 – Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET – Panama vs. Croatia 
  • Match 62 – Friday, June 26, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET – Senegal vs Winner of FIFA Playoff 2 (Bolivia/Iraq/Suriname) 

Knockout stage: 

  • Match 83 – Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 7 p.m. – Group K runners-up vs. Group L runners-up (Round of 32)

Fans will soon have another opportunity to apply for FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets as the next sales period, the Random Selection Draw, will begin on Thursday, December 11, on FIFA’s tickets webpage and is open through Tuesday, January 13, 2026. This marks the third phase of ticket sales for the 2026 tournament, as nearly two million tickets have been made available and purchased for the tournament thus far.   

At a private Final Draw watch party hosted yesterday by the City and attended by members of Toronto’s soccer community, the City announced Legend Dwayne De Rosario, former member of Canada’s Men’s National Team and proud Scarborough native, as an official host city ambassador who will help bring the energy and excitement of the beautiful game to communities across Toronto.  

FIFA World Cup 2026™ 
FIFA World Cup 2026™ begins in Mexico City on Thursday, June 11, 2026 and concludes with the final in New York/New Jersey on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Toronto will host six matches, including the first men’s FIFA World Cup™ match on Canadian soil on Friday, June 12, 2026 and a round of 32 match on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Funding and services from the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario will support the infrastructure and logistics required for Toronto’s matches and related events. 

In December 2024, FIFA released an economic impact assessment, prepared by Deloitte Canada, estimating that FIFA World Cup 26™ could generate up to $940 million in positive economic output for the Greater Toronto Area. This includes a projected $520 million in GDP growth, $340 million in labour income and $25 million in government revenue. The tournament is also expected to create more than 6,600 jobs between June 2023 and August 2026, providing a substantial boost to the region’s economy.
