This service is a convenient way to order tax and utility certificates online anytime, anywhere. It’s easy, quick and convenient!

Order Tax and Utility Certificate

When you order online:

  • all you need is the client’s information and a credit card
  • the certificate is available to download within two business days
  • you can order up to 25 certificates per visit
  • receive verbal updates on any tax or utility certificate up to six months from the purchase date
  • you will receive an email when your certificate is ready

A tax and utility certificate shows the current status of a property tax and utilities account – often needed for real estate transactions, mortgages, or legal checks. A Tax Certificate fee and/or a Utility Clearance fee is applicable for each certificate issued.

You can also order a tax and/or utility certificate by mail or by visiting an Inquiry and Payment Counter.  Payment can be made by cheque, cash or debit card if making an in-person request. The order will be processed within 15 business days.
