Administrative services in French are only provided at 60 Queen Street West, Ground Floor, Room 12 W. If you need to see a Justice of the Peace, the City of Toronto cannot guarantee the hearing or meeting will be in French at other locations. In addition, some functions such as reopening requests and requests to extend time to pay a fine require the use of original certificates, and must be held at the court of filing.
Trials and first attendance meetings in French can be requested at any Toronto Provincial Offences Court Office.
For your convenience, there are other options. Each office is equipped with a translation service for three-way conversations with the clerk, translator, and you. In addition, you may phone our Call Centre at 416-338-7320 and press “6” to speak to a clerk in French. If staff is unable to answer the phone, please leave your name and a phone number where you can be reached during business hours and a French speaking staff member will return your call as soon as possible.
