Get involved in your community

Allen Road Study

The City of Toronto is studying how to make Allen Road better for the people that travel on it and the communities that surround it. This study is following a provincially mandated Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Two to three messages will be sent every few months at key stages of the project.

Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant (ICMC)

The Implementation and Compliance Monitoring Committee (ICMC) assists the City with the implementation of aspects of the Environmental Assessment Approval for the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant. Subscribers receive meeting invitations and minutes, usually bi-monthly.

Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant (NLC)

The Neighbourhood Liaison Committee (NLC) facilitates communication between the City and the community around the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant. Committee members provide input on issues related to the plant's operation and changes to the site that affect the community. Subscribers receive meeting invitations and minutes, usually bi-monthly.



Toronto Casino Consultation

This e-update is used to provide subscribers with information about the Toronto Casino Consultation, including public meetings, online survey availability and outcomes of the consultation process. The number of e-updates varies.

Design Review Panel

This e-update is used to provide subscribers with Design Review Panel updates, including meeting agendas and project highlights. Subscribers receive messages once every 3 to 4 weeks.

Dundas Street West Streetscape Improvement (University - Bathurst)

This e-update is used to provide the community with project updates including decision-making milestones, public events, and opportunities to provide feedback. Subscribers receive messages once every three to four weeks.



Eglinton Connects

Eglington Connects is being undertaken to plan the future of Eglinton in conjunction with new rapid transit. Metrolinx is investing approximately $6 billion dollars in the design and construction of the Eglinton-Scarborough Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) line. Subscribers receive updates and notifications of meetings on a periodic basis, especially around public consultation meetings.

Local Air Quality Studies

Learn about the Local Air Quality Studies that are being conducted by the City's Environment and Energy Office and Toronto Public Health, in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment. The studies will evaluate individual pollutants and the potential cumulative health impacts of the pollutants on the community.

Richmond-Adelaide Cycle Track Study

The City is studying the potential for physically separated bicycle lanes in the Richmond-Adelaide corridor, from Bathurst Street to Sherbourne Street. A north-south cycling connection between the existing Beverly Street bicycle lanes and the waterfront will also be studied. This study is following an Environmental Assessment process. Two to three messages will be sent every few months at key stages of the project.



Official Plan Review

The City is undertaking an Official Plan Review and Municipal Comprehensive Review. This exercise will not create a new Official Plan, but will review and adjust the Plan where necessary. Subscribers receive updates on a periodic basis, with more updates around public consultation meetings.

St Lawrence Market North Redevelopment

Subscribers receive information about the redevelopment of an iconic landmark - the St. Lawrence Market North Building. The City has launched a design competition to find the best architectural design for the redevelopment of this property. The number of e-updates varies.

Waterfront Sanitary Master Plan

The City is creating a new sanitary sewage master plan for the waterfront area - south of King Street between Bathurst Street and Leslie Street. Subscribers receive updates about the project and are invited to review information to participate in public consultations. Two to three messages are sent every few months at key stages of the project.



Proposed Residential Energy Retrofit Program

The City of Toronto is proposing a pilot home energy retrofit program that will help private property owners improve the energy efficiency of their homes and rental buildings, reduce energy use, and save money on energy bills. Subscribers receive updates on consultation events and project milestones.

East Don Trail

The City of Toronto is working with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to study options for a multi-use trail within the East Don Corridor from O'Connor Drive and Don Mills Road, north along the Don River, to Lawrence Avenue East. This study is following a provincially mandated Environmental Assessment (EA) process. One to two messages will be sent every few months at key stages of the project.

Kingston Road Reconstruction

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) are reconstructing Kingston Road between Queen Street East and Victoria Park Avenue. This construction work will ensure a state of good repair of our roads, streetcar tracks and sidewalks. One to two messages will be sent every month at key stages of the project.
