Road closures and traffic disruptions

Subscribers receive information about road closures and traffic disruptions due to construction work and events taking place in the city. Subscribers receive about eight to 10 notices each day.



Emergency and major incident information

Subscribers receive information about major incidents or declared emergencies, as well as information about emergency planning and preparedness. The timing of alerts and updates vary.

Celebrate Toronto!

Learn about festivals and events produced by the City of Toronto's Special Events office. Events showcase the best in music, art, culture, sport, food, theatre and spectacle for all ages. Issues of e-updates vary seasonally.

Live Green Toronto News

Live Green News provides information on Live Green Toronto's programs, grants, rebates, events and more helping you stay connected, informed and living green. Subscribers usually receive e-updates monthly.

Be Your Best Self

If you are a Toronto youth age 13 - 24, subscribe to learn about Public Health services and events, and opportunities to take action on health issues in your community. Share ideas with like-minded youth. Get e-updates every two weeks.

Cycling information

Subscribers receive Cyclometer newsletter detailing issues of interest to cyclists, as well as notices of public meetings inviting your involvement in making Toronto a better place for cycling. Cyclometer is issued monthly.

Subscribers receive Pedometer e-newsletter detailing issues of interest to pedestrians and updates on the City's "Public Realm" section. Pedometer is issued two to three times per year.


City Council and Committees

Council and Committee e-updates

Subscribers receive announcements, links to meeting agendas, decisions, minutes, supplementary materials, meeting schedule changes, posting of notices as well as any other related information. On average, subscribers can expect 3-5 emails per committee per meeting. Subscribe here.

Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant (ICMC)

The Implementation and Compliance Monitoring Committee (ICMC) assists the City with the implementation of aspects of the Environmental Assessment Approval for the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant. Subscribers receive meeting invitations and minutes, usually bi-monthly.

Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant (NLC)

The Neighbourhood Liaison Committee (NLC) facilitates communication between the City and the community around the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant. Committee members provide input on issues related to the plant's operation and changes to the site that affect the community. Subscribers receive meeting invitations and minutes, usually bi-monthly.

Waterfront Sanitary Master Plan

The City is creating a new sanitary sewage master plan for the waterfront area - south of King Street between Bathurst Street and Leslie Street. Subscribers receive updates about the project and are invited to review information to participate in public consultations. Two to three messages are sent every few months at key stages of the project.



Dundas Street West Streetscape Improvement (University - Bathurst)

This e-update is used to provide the community with project updates including decision-making milestones, public events, and opportunities to provide feedback. Subscribers receive messages once every three to four weeks.

John Street Corridor Improvements Environmental Assessment

This e-update is used to provide the community with project updates including decision-making milestones, public events, and opportunities to provide feedback. Subscribers receive messages once every six to eight weeks.

Changes to Front Street at Union Station

The City has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment to reconfigure Front Street from Bay Street to York Street. Subscribers receive updates about the study and are invited to review project information and participate in public consultations. Two to three messages are sent every few months at key stages of the project.



St Lawrence Market North Redevelopment

Subscribers receive information about the redevelopment of an iconic landmark - the St. Lawrence Market North Building. The City has launched a design competition to find the best architectural design for the redevelopment of this property. The number of e-updates varies.

Official Plan Review

The City is undertaking an Official Plan Review and Municipal Comprehensive Review. This exercise will not create a new Official Plan, but will review and adjust the Plan where necessary. Subscribers receive updates on a periodic basis, with more updates around public consultation meetings.
