The City of Toronto is working with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to study options for a multi-use trail within the East Don Corridor from O'Connor Drive and Don Mills Road, north along the Don River, to Lawrence Avenue East. This study is following a provincially mandated Environmental Assessment (EA) process. One to two messages will be sent every few months at key stages of the project.

Eglinton Connects is being undertaken to plan the future of Eglinton in conjunction with new rapid transit. Metrolinx is investing approximately $6 billion dollars in the design and construction of the Eglinton-Scarborough Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) line.
