iVotronic Touch Screen Terminal


The Touch Screen Terminal is a paperless electronic voting terminal which features an innovative audio ballot. The audio ballot, in combination with the Braille-embossed navigation buttons, enables partially sighted or blind individuals to efficiently vote in complete privacy. It is lightweight and completely portable for wheelchair access.

  • The iVotronic Touch Screen lets everyone vote electronically.
  • You can vote by touching the screen or using the Braille embossed buttons below the screen.
  • You can also use the headphones to hear instructions and choices on your ballot.
  • There are 3 Braille embossed buttons. Two are triangle shaped and marked, "Up", "Down". One is diamond shaped and marked "Select".
  • When prompted by the audio, use these buttons to control the machine and complete your ballot.
  • There are 3 simple steps to vote by using the touch screen:
    • Make your selection by touching the name of the candidate of your choice
    • Review your selections and make any changes.
    • Cast your ballot
  • Each time you choose a name, your choice will be recorded on the paper strip to the left of the screen.
  • You can vote for one Mayor, one Councillor and one School Board Trustee.
  • At any time, you can press the button with a question mark to go back to the voting instructions.
  • Or press the "Back" button to go back to the previous screen.
  • To start voting, press the "View Ballot" button.
  • You will see the names of candidates for Mayor. To make your selection, touch the name of the candidate of your choice. Their name will be highlighted and a check mark will appear next to it.
  • Press "Next" to go the next screen.
  • You will now see the names of candidates for your ward Councillor. Make your choice and press "Next" to go to the next screen.
  • Finally, you will see the names of School Board Trustee candidates. Again, make your choice and... press "Review" to go to the summary screen.
  • At this point, you can review your choices and make any changes you want by simply touching what you want to change. The machine will take you back to the appropriate screen.
  • When you have finished, press "Review" to go back to the summary screen.
  • Once you are sure of your choices, press the flashing green button marked "Cast your ballot now". You will be taken to a final confirmation page.
  • If you still want to make a change, press "Return to Ballot" to do so.
  • Otherwise, press "Confirm" to cast your ballot.
  • You will have successfully voted once you press "Confirm"
