The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has requested the City Clerk to conduct a by-election to fill vacancies in the office of trustee for Ward 17 - Don Valley East (PDF) (City Wards 33 and 34) (PDFs) and Ward 20 - Scarborough-Agincourt (PDF) (City Wards 39 and 40) (PDFs).

Where do I vote?
Electors that wish to find out when and where to vote in the 2012 By-Election for trustee, Toronto District School Board Wards 17 & 20 can now enter their address into the "Where do I vote" application to receive complete information about voting dates and times; voting places with a map and details about each place including entrance and accessibility information; sample of the ballot and a list of all candidates running in their ward.
How to vote and key election information
To assist eligible electors who are participating in the 2012 By-Election for trustee, Toronto District School Board Wards 17 and 20, a How to Vote Booklet and Key Election Information is now available on our website in English and 8 translated languages.
Voter Assist Terminal (VAT) available for 2012 By-Election
Once again the Voter Assist Terminal (VAT) will be available at select voting places to assist people with disabilities in voting privately and independently. The VAT will be available during the Advance Vote at all voting places and select voting places on election day. If you require the use of the VAT on election day, please call 416-338-1111 (TTY 416-338-0889) to make arrangements.
Election signs may be posted starting February 2
Candidates may now post campaign signs in Toronto for the by-election on February 27, 2012. Signs may be displayed on private property, subject to the owner's permission. Candidates wishing to post election signs on allowable public property must complete an Election Sign Deposit form (PDF) and pay a $250 sign deposit (in cash, certified cheque or money order) to the City of Toronto. All campaign signs must be removed by the end of day on March 1, 2012.

The City Clerk has confirmed the final list of candidates for the office of trustee, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Wards 17 and 20. There are 17 candidates for trustee, TDSB ward 17; and 14 candidates for trustee, TDSB ward 20. News release.
