Contribution Rebate Program - Contribution Receipt & Rebate Request forms due on or before January 3, 2012

The City Clerk's Office is currently processing the contribution rebates received, to date, for contributions made before December 31, 2010. These rebate cheques will be mailed by the end of October 2011.

Contributions made between January 1, 2011 and June 30, 2011 to candidates who extended their campaign into the supplementary period will be processed in the new year (after the Compliance Audit period has expired on December 29, 2011).

Candidates should advise their contributors to mail in any outstanding Contribution Receipts & Rebate Request forms on or before January 3, 2012 to:

The amount of the rebate paid to an individual is based upon the total amount of all the contributions the contributor made to all candidates in the election.

In accordance with City of Toronto By-law 1257-2009 (PDF), contribution rebates cannot be issued to contributors of candidates who are currently subject to a Compliance Audit proceeding. Affected candidates should advise their contributors accordingly. Contributors wishing to have more information on the Compliance Audit proceeding.
