Partners honour Sport Leadership Program graduates
Mayor Rob Ford and City of Toronto staff in partnership with United Way Toronto, the YMCA of Greater Toronto, the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board have marked the graduation of students from the Toronto Sport Leadership Program.
Free computers, Internet for low-income kids
More children of low-income families will enjoy free computers and Internet access thanks to a $250,000 donation from SelectCore Ltd. to the City's kids@computers Scholarship Project.
Weston Foundation supports Riverdale Farm
The W. Garfield Weston Foundation has donated $25,000 to support fundraising efforts aimed at achieving long-term stability for Riverdale Farm, an example of a 19th-century Ontario farm located in downtown Toronto.
Recipe for Community: Weston-Mount Dennis
Residents of Weston-Mount Dennis are improving their neighbourhood through the highly successful Recipe for Community program, a partnership between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Community Foundation. Their efforts were highlighted on the Rogers TV show City Insider. See the video here.
Scotiabank Nuit Blanche economic impact: $42.2 million
The economic impact of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2012 was $38 million in Toronto with an additional $4.2 million spillover impact for Ontario. The event attracted more than one million people, including more than 170,000 out-of-town visitors.
New partnership policies
City Council has adopted new policies governing sponsorships, naming rights and honourific namings of streets. These policies formalize the practices Toronto has used for many years to create successful partnerships and will insure consistent treatment for every potential partner.
Partnering with Toronto
Do you have an idea for a profit-making partnership with Toronto? There are two routes you can take to ensure the efficient evaluation of your proposal. You can submit your idea to the Toronto Office of Partnerships through its unsolicited partnership proposals process. Or, you can respond to a request for proposals call through Purchasing and Materials Management.

Customer Service Standards
The City of Toronto has service standards that detail the necessary time to deliver services to Toronto's residents and businesses. These standards are made available to inform citizens about when they can expect services to be delivered.
Lobbyist Registrar
If you wish to meet with the Toronto Office of Partnerships to promote a company, its products or its services, you must register with the Office of the Lobbyist Registrar. If you have questions such as "Who is a lobbyist?" and "Who has to register?" the Lobbyist Registrar can help.
