The event called Cavalcade of Lights was created in 1967 to showcase Toronto's newly constructed City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square.

Cavalcade of Lights kicks off the holiday season in Toronto with the first lighting of Toronto’s Official Christmas Tree and lighting display at Nathan Phillips Square. Live musical performances, a skating party and stunning fireworks complete the festive evening.

For information on the Cavalcade of Lights event schedule, parking, road closures and more, visit the City of Toronto website.
